Why not the nineteen-dollar shirt
Search “HVAC gift” and you get definition shirts and clip-art gauges with the needle pointing at a number that would mean the compressor is dead. Those were written by a keyword tool. Every design here is drawn from real commercial HVAC and refrigeration work and read by the founder, a fourth-year pipefitter apprentice with field time, before it prints. We do not print manufacturer, union or league marks, we do not modify someone else’s artwork, and we do not copy another seller’s phrase. If the reading on the garment is wrong, the gift is worse than no gift.

Before refrigerant goes into a system, a pump pulls the air and moisture out of it. 500 microns is the reading that says the system is actually dry. Every tech has watched that gauge crawl down at the end of a long day. Nobody outside the trade has any idea what it means, which is the point.
The safest one to buy for someone early in the trade: the number is right, and getting it right is the whole job in year one.

“It's low on refrigerant” is the guess every tech gets handed before he walks in. Nine times out of ten the system is fine and the air is not moving — a filter nobody changed, a blower wheel packed with dust, a damper someone closed. The shirt is the correction he has made a thousand times.
This is the one that gets a laugh in the shop. It reads as an argument he has already won.

Equipment does not break on a Tuesday morning with the parts house open. It breaks on the hottest Saturday of the year, at closing, in the rain. If he has ever left a family dinner with his phone in his hand, he knows this line already.

What size
If you do not know his size, buy the size of a shirt he already wears and check it against the measurements on the fit guide — both garments are true to size and cut for a working build, not slim. If the size is wrong, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we print the size you meant and ship it free, once per order. He keeps the first one, so there is no box to mail back and nothing for him to deal with.
How long it takes
Nothing is printed until it is ordered: 2 to 4 business days on the print floor, then 2 to 5 business days in transit, so 4 to 9 business days from order to doorstep. If you are buying for a date — a graduation, a journeyman card, a birthday — order at least two weeks out. Holiday weeks run longer and we say so on the shipping page when they do.
What you pay
The number on the product page is the number on your card. US shipping is inside the price, there is no size upcharge, and there is no gift wrap upsell. We ship to the United States only, including APO and FPO. Card statements read NanoCorp, which is the merchant of record for the shop.
Sending it straight to him
Put his address on the order and it goes to him. The tracking email goes to the address you type on the order form, so use your own if you want the surprise to hold. Nothing in the box prices the gift.
