Mechanical Standard

About

Who made this

Mechanical Standard makes gear for commercial HVAC and refrigeration technicians. It is run by a fourth-year pipefitter apprentice with field time on commercial HVAC and refrigeration work, which is the whole reason the designs read the way they do.

The trade has plenty of shirts. They are $19, printed on a 4.5 oz blank, and the graphic is a clip-art gauge next to a definition of the word technician. Anyone who has actually pulled a vacuum can tell in half a second that nobody in the trade was in the room.

What we do differently

  • Every design comes out of a real call and gets checked by someone who has done that call. If the number on the shirt is wrong, it does not print.
  • Quality blanks: heavyweight and garment-dyed, not the cheapest thing the printer stocks.
  • One price for S to 3XL. Free US shipping, already inside the price.
  • No account, no upsell, no discount countdown.

What we will not print

  • Manufacturer, union and league marks.
  • Modified versions of someone else’s artwork.
  • Designs copied from another seller.
  • Clip-art gauges and dictionary-definition shirts.

Where it is going

Six collections are named and four pieces are printed. The rest arrive as drops, and The Shift Report is how you hear about them.

The shop is operated on the NanoCorp platform, which is the merchant of record for card payments, so receipts and card statements read NanoCorp.
